He also served on the board of the Big Dreams Leadership Academy, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching life skills, self-esteem, and good citizenship through basketball. In 2022, he founded the Philadelphia Elite Basketball Club, a nationally recognized AAU basketball team.
Sam earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees from George Washington University in 2000 and 2022, respectively. He received his J.D. from the Howard University School of Law in 2005 and later obtained an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2008.
His achievements have earned him numerous accolades, including the National Bar Association’s Advocate of the Year in 2018. He was also named a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by the Legal Intelligencer and recognized as “Who’s Who in Injury and Injured Workers Advocacy” by PhillyLabor. This is Sam’s fifth consecutive year of being selected to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list.
